This Privacy Policy explains how Membit (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Membit mobile app and related services (the “Service”).

1) Who controls your data

The data controller is the Membit developer/operator. Contact: membit.help@gmail.com

2) What we collect

  • Account info: when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an identifier for your account and basic profile info (such as name/email if you choose to share it).
  • App data you create: vocabulary lists, learning progress, streaks, settings, and other content you enter in the app.
  • Device & diagnostics: app version, device type/OS, crash logs, and performance data to keep the Service reliable and fix bugs.
  • Purchase status: whether you have an active subscription or premium access. Payments are processed by Apple/Google (and subscription management may be handled by RevenueCat). We do not store your full payment card details.

3) How we use information

  • Provide and operate the Service (sign-in, syncing, saving progress)
  • Personalize learning and improve app performance
  • Customer support and responding to requests
  • Security, fraud prevention, and compliance

4) How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service, including:

  • Supabase (data storage/auth infrastructure for user data and app content)
  • RevenueCat (subscription status/entitlements, if enabled)
  • Apple / Google (in-app purchases and store account handling)
  • Service providers for analytics/crash reporting (if used) and only to operate and improve the Service

We do not sell your personal information.

5) Data retention

We keep your information as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6) Your choices and rights

  • You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing support.
  • You can cancel subscriptions in the App Store / Google Play subscription settings.

7) Children’s privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided us personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8) Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
